BalanceWear® is a non-invasive, wearable balance-stabilizing orthosis/garment indicated for individuals with balance and mobility issues. If you feel unsteady, have fear of falling, or have fallen, BalanceWear may be of benefit to you.
Balance disorders are a result of many conditions including aging, neurological conditions such as multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, ataxia, neuropathy, infirmity, and stroke. Balance disorders can also be a result of back surgery and other orthopedic issues. Cindy Gibson Horn, PT created BalanceWear for patients challenged with loss of balance and mobility. She created and developed the patented balance assessment technology protocol known as Balance-Based Torso-Weighting® (BBTW®) and the patented product known as BalanceWear.
