Happy National Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Awareness Month!

March 9, 2023

Our goal is to raise awareness about multiple sclerosis (MS), a chronic autoimmune disease that affects the central nervous system and can cause a wide range of symptoms, including fatigue, numbness, weakness, dizziness, visual loss, and motor coordination of the eyes, difficulty with coordination, balance, and walking.

During National MS Awareness Month, Motion Therapeutics will share three videos from people with MS to raise awareness about MS and how Balance-Based Torso Weighting® (BBTW) and BalanceWear® has helped individuals from around the Country live their life with better balance and mobility.

One of our key objectives is to promote improved balance, and mobility and reduce falls in people with MS and others with balance loss.

Our second objective is to promote awareness in the medical and rehabilitative community that BBTW is research-based, and has been shown to improve balance and mobility in people with MS.

BBTW is an assessment and treatment that determines three-dimensional directional instability of reactive and anticipatory postural control. Trained clinicians identify each person’s specific losses. Once the losses are determined, small weights are placed strategically on the trunk to enable improved postural responses. Once the postural responses are improved, there may be a host of improvements in ability. Check out the videos this week!

Live your life with BalanceWear.

If you are a support group and would like a webinar to learn more about BalanceWear and Balance-based Torso-Weighting (BBTW), contact John. john@motiontherapeutics.com

You can also reach john for information about BalanceWear and how you can get assessed for the vest. Please include where you are located and he will send you the nearest trained clinician. We have clinicians in the USA and Denmark.
