It’s National Stroke Awareness Month.
I spoke to Darlene to get an update on how she was doing. Back in 2017 she was recovering from an aneurysm/ bleed in her cerebellum. You can see Darlene and Nathalie her therapist’s information from back in 2017. She was starting to run before she was discharged.
It has been three years since then.
“BalanceWear has sort of been my salvation because it allows me to do a 3 mile walk every day. I wear it all day. If I didn’t have the vest, I doubt I would be able to walk as much. The vest grounds me. You know how it feels when you get up too fast? That is how I feel all the time. BalanceWear doesn’t change that feeling but allows me to walk better. I would definitely tell people with stroke to try BalanceWear.”
“I had hoped I would get more back as I was a runner for 40 years, but I am lucky I can still get out each morning and walk.”
