Walking Without a Cane – Person with Multiple Sclerosis Testimonial

Below is a testimonial from Betty Evans about how she is now walking without a cane!

I have MS and have had mobility/balance issues for 20 years.  I usually used a cane since then and sometimes a walker for a while after a relapse.

I started wearing my BalanceWear  Breeze vest in March 2023.  From my first walk with it, I saw a huge improvement.  I went to some physical therapy learning to walk “the right way” again and learning the right exercises for me to do.

My balance, stride, speed, steadiness and endurance are greatly improved.  I started walking outside taking the cane along but holding it up. Now I can do it without taking the cane.  My feet feel so much lighter and firmly placed, that I do not have to concentrate on every step like I used to.  I am continually taking fewer steps per mile so my stride is longer.

I never imagined such a difference after all this time,  it has been life-changing.  I honestly think the hardest part of it is convincing my brain I can do it, is still a little scary but even that is improving over time.

I went to an annual family reunion this summer and all were shocked at my improvement.  I personally, still am pretty shocked and amazed.
